Jacob Yorg, Ed.D.
M.A., M.A.T., Ed.D, CIT, PLPC
I approach therapy with a genuine, authentic, non-judgmental attitude, striving to create a safe client space. I practice under a humanistic approach, meaning that I believe it is essential to view each person as a unique individual with a unique story. I aim to work collaboratively with clients to discuss presenting concerns and gain greater self-awareness, drawing on each individual’s strengths to create change. Because no two people are alike, I strive to tailor interventions to each client’s needs, though I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My goal is to utilize the therapeutic relationship to help clients feel supported and understood. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various levels of care, ranging from residential to outpatient settings. I have worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, behavioral concerns, relational issues, Athletics/Mental Performance and more. I am committed to helping clients enhance problem-solving abilities, achieve their goals, and live more authentic, fulfilling lives.

I received my B.S and M.A.T. in Mathematics from Webster University, my M.A. in Counseling from Missouri Baptist, my Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Maryville, and I am ABD with my PsyD in Clinical Psychology. I am currently under supervision for licensure as a counselor.
