Dishika Iyer

M.A., Master Clinician

Hello there! My name is Dishika Iyer. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I use an eclectic mode of treatment, using a wide range of intervention tools. I strongly believe that there is no one size fits all in counseling. My sessions with you would be tailored to your needs where I would provide you with a safe and multiculturally sensitive space, and a judgement-free zone to let your authentic self show. My goal in our therapeutic relationship would be to help you grow through your journey and into your best self every day. I would meet you where you are and go through this journey using person-centered integrated approaches.

Adulting can be so hard and scary. And being an immigrant only makes it harder. Having to adapt to a new culture while feeling estranged, isolated, and not knowing anyone can make one feel anxious and unsure of themselves. I understand that there are priorities that take up space in our lives, leaving little to no time and energy for being there for ourselves. I am passionate about working with immigrants and adults while arming them with tools to help them navigate life and its adversities in an empowering way. I would love to work with clients in a wide range of challenges to help identify automatic thoughts, patterns, and irrational behaviors, and help replace them with healthier ways of rationalizing and coping.
