I hope to cultivate a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings without any judgment. Counseling is a collaborative process, so I plan to involve individuals in their goals and personal growth. In addition, I would like to provide you with tools to overcome life difficulties with greater self-awareness. In a way, I am holding a mirror for you to see yourself in a different light and supporting you through every step.
My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and evidence-based practices tailored to meet your unique needs. I specialize in CBT by problem-solving negative thought processes to help create adaptive ways of thinking. In addition, I support people who are experiencing symptoms of chronic stress and trauma by utilizing bottom-up approaches like EMDR and somatic work.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri and I have a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I am currently obtaining my clinical hours to become a fully licensed professional counselor. My hope is that I can support people from all walks of life. I have helped young adults adjust to life stressors. I have helped couples who are not married and would like to understand each other before taking the next step in their relationships. In addition, I work with clients going through the grief of a loved one, a relationship, and even a loss of identity and how to navigate all the difficult feelings and emotions. I am grateful to be part of a team like Diversified Health and Wellness Center to provide mental health counseling!
