Mariana Perez
Practicum Student
I am a third-year graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Missouri Baptist University, currently completing my internship. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and am passionate about providing empathetic, compassionate, and client-centered care.
My clinical approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I integrate with elements of play and art therapy to support clients in exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in ways that feel authentic and accessible to them. I believe therapy should meet clients where they are, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can build insight, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful change.
I am committed to ongoing growth as a clinician and look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing and well-being.
