Katie Garner
Graduate Intern
I believe all individuals are capable of growth and change, but that does not mean it is always easy. I want my clients to know that the challenges that come with the desire to change or improve areas of their lives do not have to be faced alone. I aim to provide support and strategies for helping individuals that want to see change in their lives. Additionally, therapy with me is meant to be a safe space for you to be vulnerable and process whatever obstacles you might be facing, both past, present, and future.
I have centered my studies in the last two years around a variety of different issues one might be facing and am here to provide support to individuals of all ages, genders, sexualities, and cultural backgrounds. I have spent additional time throughout my degree focusing on clients that may be dealing with anxiety, depression, alcohol or substance use issues, trauma, life transitions and changes, romantic relationship issues, and sexuality. I am here to support you in your unique journey.
I am currently in my third and final year of acquiring my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. I have learned so much about the field of counseling throughout the time I’ve spent acquiring my degree, and find I only grow more passionate for being a counselor as I work with clients. I look forward to supporting you on your journey to better mental health here at Diversified Health and Wellness.
