Practicum Student

As an aspiring art therapist, I have a strong passion for using art as a healing mode of therapy. I understand firsthand how art therapy can help individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. My personal experience with mental health challenges has inspired me to pursue a career in art therapy to help others who may be going through similar struggles. I obtained my undergraduate degree in both art and psychology from UMSL and am currently pursuing a master's degree in art therapy from PennWest - Edinboro.

With a supportive approach honed through years of customer service experience, I love working with people of all ages. My aim is to create a comfortable and safe environment where clients can explore their emotions and experiences through creative expression. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, taking into account my clients' physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. My ultimate goal is to help clients achieve a sense of wholeness and well-being through the transformative power of art.

I envision art therapy as a mode of treatment that can help individuals tap into their inner resources and cultivate resilience in the face of adversity. I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow and that art therapy can help facilitate that process. Through my work as an art therapist, I hope to empower my clients to create positive change in their lives and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness, self-expression, and self-compassion.
