Graduate Intern

Life can be unpredictable and messy. This can often be when we find ourselves seeking therapy, but whether you're navigating through a specific challenge or have decided to take on processing old wounds, you're here! And that's a huge step.

My name is Fox (like the animal). I am a queer, biracial Korean-American graduate practicum student at Southwestern University with a focus on narrative and art therapies, psychoeducation, and person-centered approaches. My background is in illustration, storytelling, education, and public speaking, and I have spoken nationally on topics such as creating safer spaces, diversity and representation in media, and mental health in the arts. I am deeply passionate about mental healthcare and rooting my practice in cultural humility, and I have been a lifelong believer (and participant) in the therapeutic process. When not in the therapist chair, I can be found working as a tattoo artist or taking my neuro-divergent brain for a break under a pile of cats.

I believe that we are the experts of our lives, even as we may need guidance at times. Whether you have a clear goal for therapy, need help untangling life stressors or past trauma, or really aren't sure where to start, I am honored to walk with you and honor your journey, because it is yours and your experience matters. Everyone has a story that deserves to be told, and I look forward to hearing yours.
