No one knows your story better than you, and you’re the expert on your own life. Therapy can be a great tool and space for learning, healing, and growing, and I hope I can take part in your journey! Therapy can be an extremely vulnerable experience, and I want everyone I talk with to feel heard, safe, and welcome. Through therapy, I want to guide and help you express yourself through healing and growth in a safe space. I believe in letting you lead; what are your goals? What do you want out of therapy? It’s all up to you.
I believe that empathy, respect, and validation is the best foundation to make therapy successful. Throughout our time together, I encourage authenticity and being genuine, for me and for you. Being human together can be a very validating experience, which is why I believe in showing up as myself every day.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and currently I am working on my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lindenwood University. My therapeutic approach is evidence-based, person-centered, and focused on empathy, compassion, and open-mindedness. I have worked with adults of all ages and people with disabilities. I believe that therapy should focus on you as a whole person, not just pieces of one. I support each individual in a personalized way, everyone has different life experiences and strengths, and therapy should fit for you.
It takes a lot of strength to seek out therapy, and I’d love to join you on your journey, wherever the destination may be!
