Cierra Holman

Graduate Intern

Hi I'm Cierra,

When it comes to counseling, I believe that a counselor and client are a team and should work together to reach goals and ensure the client can succeed despite the roadblocks that are causing them trouble. I believe you should feel in charge of your journey. My belief in counseling is that therapy can take many shapes and forms for each client a counselor works with. Therapy is not "one size fits all," but instead what makes you, as an individual, unique.

My role is to listen and assist you with whatever you may need, while respecting your needs, wants, and mental well-being. My role is to put your best interests first and apply your goals and wants into our treatment as we work together through your therapeutic journey. I believe in balancing professionalism with empathy and ensuring you have control throughout your journey.

I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Lindenwood University and am currently working on my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Truman State University. Outside of my internship, I work as a Registered Behavioral Technician, providing one-on-one support to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and using Applied Behavior Analysis in a natural teaching environment.
