One of the biggest hurdles that people face when seeking help is dealing with the obstacle of stigma. Mental health stigma is real and very prevalent in many communities. My goal is to help people overcome this stigma and get the help they need. No one should have to hide or be embarrassed of their illness because of what the community around them will say. Getting help is not an easy thing to do, but taking the first step gives you a chance at happiness.

I work with many different populations, but specialize in helping people from the Muslim community. I mainly work with women, teenage girls, and children. I do individual, family, and group therapy.

Counseling sessions with me are safe and confidential. You don’t have to be concerned with someone finding out you’re in counseling.

If you are struggling in your marriage, I can help you make sense of what’s going on. In my office, you will have a safe place to think out loud, build self confidence, and gain coping skills.

Do you have teenage girls at home that you can’t understand anymore? Bring them to a family therapy session and let’s determine if they would benefit from individual or group therapy.

Have you recently or in the past experienced loss of a loved one? If you are ready to face this grief, I can help you through it.

I speak and understand the Arabic language.
