Matt Anderson

B.A., Graduate Intern

My personal commitment is to empowering individuals in getting what they want from life. This may involve providing assistance in the removal of barriers to their natural process of growing towards what they value, so they can experience more aliveness, freedom, and wholeness. It may involve developing better skills, like communication and relationship skills. And it may involve helping individuals with rediscovering and recreating their own unique sense of meaning and purpose in life. Whatever it looks like for you, it will be a collaboration built on trust toward the goal of developing you and your life in the way that you choose.

I practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (aka ACT- a mindfulness-based behavior therapy), Gottman couples therapy (level one trained), and I integrate elements of analytical psychology, enneagram coaching, existential psychology, spiritual counseling (to all faiths) and philosophical counseling.

I am the father of two amazing teenage children, I have a B.A. in philosophy (which whetted my appetite for psychology), and I am currently in the final year of my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Missouri- St Louis.

I work primarily with adults and adolescents in an individual or group setting
