Choosing a therapist, booking an appointment, or showing up on your first day can feel incredibly overwhelming. Managing relationships, being perceived, and just existing as part of the world can make you feel extremely vulnerable. These experiences are compounded when we are going through our own stuff, whether it's an episode of mental illness, intense stress, or just trying to get by in a dysfunctional society. It’s not easy, but it doesn’t always have to be this hard.

I believe in the counselor as co-pilot: a role of support and assistance in navigating tricky emotional terrain. In session, I work to create a space where you can be your most authentic, unfiltered self. This means bringing all of you, even (or especially) the parts that feel scared, or ashamed, or angry. All parts of you are important and they all deserve care and attention. I believe strongly that every client has the tools within them for healing, and my role is to help facilitate what is already there. I take a client-centered approach to tailor therapy to your specific needs, and I believe that resiliency, healing, and connection can be a part of every client’s story.

You are the ultimate expert in what you are going through, and you are the ultimate expert in the kind of care you need. I am here to help you connect with that care.
