Navigating through life’s ups and downs can be both joyful and stressful. I have learned that it is important to accept the idea that it is okay to not be okay all of the time. It is also important to accept that it is okay and beneficial to seek help and guidance in both times of hardship and success in life. I am here to be part of a strong support system and to provide guidance to an individual that might be in need of positive direction with their mental health.
I have years of professional experience working with young children, both typically and atypically developing. Recently, I have gained experience using a variety of techniques in behavioral therapy, which I have enjoyed immensely and find fascinating. I also have several years' worth of volunteer experience leading youth and adolescents with both individuals and small groups at my church. This is such an important time in an individual’s life, while it can be both exciting and very difficult to navigate. I enjoy guiding and connecting with the youth of our society and watching them grow.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) and am currently working towards my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lindenwood University. While I have always seen myself working with young children in the mental health field, I am excited to work more with youth and adolescents and guide the mental health of this important generation. It is my pleasure to get the opportunity to work alongside Diversified Health and Wellness Center.
