Owner, True Liberation Nutrition

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Beattie and I am so happy that you are here. I am a Michigan native and St. Louis transplant. I got my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at Michigan State University and completed my Master of Arts in Family Consumer Science and my dietetic internship at Fontbonne University. I have 1 year of experience in mental health nutrition working at St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center in St. Louis and 2 years of Eating Disorder experience at Alsana Eating Recovery Center, 1 of which I held the title of Lead Dietitian.

I take the Health at Every Size (HAES) approach with my clients. I would like to emphasize that I am not a dietitian that promotes weight loss, I actually want to de-emphasize weight as a health care tool overall and decrease stigma about weight. Instead, I want to talk to you about your health care habits as it relates to food and eating. Dieting, scare tactics, and body shaming are all approaches used in social media and diet culture that have enmeshed themselves with our psyche and I want to help you unblend from this.

I have lived in Missouri going on 5 years and have fell in love with the city. In my spare time I love to hike, read, cook and hang out with my 1 1/2-year-old kitten, Freddie.

I specialize in the following: Anorexia Nervosa restricting type, anorexia nervosa binge purge type, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, body image, gentle nutrition, and disordered eating patterns. I am currently licensed in Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio.

Services and Pricing:

Getting Started - 15 minutes - Free

This free service will explain my nutrition philosophy and how I run my sessions. This is a great way for us to get to know one another and calm any nerves that you have about getting a dietitian.

Initial Session - 1 hour - $100

Ready to start your nutrition liberation journey, here is the place to go. Join me in our initial session where I will talk through what my sessions will look like and what I stand for. We will also look into what your nutrition goals are and what you want to get out of our sessions. I will gather history and tailor your treatment map to what your goals are.

1-hour session - $100

My most recommended session after the initial session. During this time, we will use what we gather in our initial session to continue to discuss how to implement your goals. I am looking forward to discussing with you about how your nutrition goals went throughout the week, what urges you continued to struggle with, any behaviors that occurred and skills to use next time, the best way to navigate productive struggle, incorporation of gentle movement, and more.

30-minute Session - $60

Perfect for a mid-week check in if you’re struggling more than baseline. This is recommended for someone who is wanting more than an hour's time to discuss challenges and encounters throughout the week that need attention before next session. This can also be used for someone who is starting to get into HAES nutrition and continues to want to learn however may not want to take the full leap.

Meal Planning Session - 45 minutes - $80

Whether you are a skilled chef in the kitchen or starting from square one, a meal planning session is for everyone. This is for someone who does not need nutritional counseling however struggles with meal planning on their own. We will process what is in your cabinet and fridge and create a meal plan for the week based on what you have and your budget. Or if you struggle with grocery shopping, we will process this piece and create a grocery shopping and meal plan from there.
