When a person grows up without the necessary attention from their caregivers, they may struggle sustaining positive relationships later in life. A couple navigating the aftermath of an affair might have difficulty rebuilding trust and intimacy. When a family feels disconnected from each other they might not know how to address it and push the feelings down even further. If you relate to any of these examples, you are not alone. Just by reading this, you are taking a brave first step towards changing your circumstances.

I am a systemically trained therapist who works with individuals, families, and couples to navigate changing their relationships to each other, themselves, and their problems. When you feel secure in relationships, your authentic vulnerability will open up your heart, mind, and spirit to learning new things and feeling new emotions. I believe that the relationship between a client and therapist is an essential component to positive change, and my goal is to ensure that those in my care feel safe and secure--no matter what.

I received my Master's degree from Saint Louis University's Medical Family Therapy program, and I have experience working with anxiety disorders, Alzheimer's, ADHD, ASD, grief, caregiving, chronic illness, infidelity, suicidality, older adults, and identity issues. My approach to therapy is client-centered, human first, meaning that I view my clients as people instead of diagnostic labels. You are the expert of your story, and we will work together to amplify your strengths so that you may take control of the coping skills that work best for you. I like to incorporate mindfulness, somatic experiencing, and creative expression into my treatment, and I remain flexible to meet the individualized needs of my clients.

If you are interested in beginning, or continuing, your journey with therapy, it would be my honor to guide you through the process.
