Hello, I am Adrienne Adkison, a long time youth wellness advocate. I have worked in the school setting for over a decade as a School Counselor. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor and a 200 Registered Yoga Teacher. I have extensive training and experience in Trauma-Informed practices, Restorative Practices, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Youth Mental Health First Aid, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. I currently work in the Parkway School District as a Care Coordinator. 

 

I believe strongly in modeling and encouraging a healthy foundation for our youth and families today. I am very passionate about health and wellness. I practice yoga and fitness regularly, along with breathwork. I enjoy hanging out with my daughter, my friends and family, and being in nature when I can. I am always curious and learning about new ways we can become healthier humans. 

 

I work with young people to develop a greater sense of self and loving the self. I often use mindfulness and yoga in my sessions to help young people connect the mind and body and why that is important today. Journaling and reflection is also another practice I offer to my students and clients. Being able to disconnect and have a healthy balance with technology is vital in today’s world. I guide and encourage young people and families to establish and maintain health practices in order to live a healthier and happier life.

Fees: $110/hr - traditional therapy setting

$40 youth small group breath + movement session (60 min)
